Bury Me With Me Boots Comment by Gaffa For those that have completed the low level raptor hatchling quest chain, it's interesting to note that during this encounter Ohgan'aka will emote to you. Is dat Bloodlord Mandokir?

Dis gonna be bad Bloodlord Mandokir says: Da Gurubashi be takin' our land back. Bloodlord Mandokir says: We let you stay here too long. Bloodlord Mandokir says: You tink you strong. You tink you brave. You tink you can survive. Bloodlord Mandokir says: But we know Ohgan'aka, the young raptor, looks at you with pleading eyes. Bloodlord Mandokir says: You and all you people, you already dead. Bloodlord Mandokir says: An' once you dead, den you serve da Gurubashi. Bwemba says: Mandokir sure do love his raptors.

Bloodlord Mandokir says: Kill dese worms! Bwemba says: Dese Gurubashi mean business. We gotta help dese people. Interesting note, this character had not done the new STV quests, though prior to Cata Id done them all. Comment by dragongrl77 Arg! Have spent about an hour trying to get this done but having trouble Comment by I have spent hours on Defend the Rebel Camp and a whopping 69g for just one repair bill.

Either bring an army with you, or forget the whole darn thing. Very unfair of WOW not to have made this a group quest. Without any notice, you're trying to undertake it alone and dying within seconds.

How did others solo this, esp leather and cloth wearers? Comment by Theanderblast Decided that Holy spec made me last longer than Shadow. After dying quite a few times, I hopped on my flying mount after accepting the quest and hovered just over the fight.

Got dragged into the fight by some trolls that ran up a little mound, but I avoided having to burn mana long enough that I could bubble, fear and self heal long enough to last. Comment by Blizz is either having fun with this one or they screwed the pooch!

Defended the camp but cannot mount the griffin to continue. The mobs spawn to fast and it keeps saying that you are busy and cannot use the taxi service. Anyone else have any better luck? Comment by This quest is impossible to do it, when only one person I did this in cloth with a mage friend, and together we died about six times over. The mobs won't even give you the chance to rez and eat in peace.

They can and WILL hunt you down and kill you again. This is your best bet for NOT being overwhelmed and killed. This quest is about how many you kill, not how many people you save. Suck up your pride and just kill them one by one, slowly. That said Pick a side and start killing mobs along it. This reduces your chance of pulling more. You're phased differently, no one is around, no one is going to see you or hear about it, just DO IT.

If you die, you fail. As long as it's not going to pull unnecessary mobs, go all out for this quest. Comment by Doing it on a mage, first I tried flying for two minutes before there appeared some mobs that shoots down people on flying mounts.

Then invisible for the next 20 seconds. Then I managed to get outside, polymorph my attacker and kill it. Then I had to flee all the way to Duskwood after turning the quest in. Guess my warrior will love this, plate and victory rush self healing are needed for this quest. Another hint for doing the followup: After turning in this quest, run for Duskwood, when you get back you will not be in the phase where you are dragged into the fight and can safely pick up the followup quest and mount the gryphon.

Edit: My main warrior, in dps spec, had no problems at all. Since they do not produce rep or experience, there was no victory rush, but plate combined with better dps made a world of difference. So do not do this unless you are ready to go for the Z heroics. Comment by This quest is about how many you kill. Comment by Figured out a way around this. As soon as I picked up the quest, I mounted a flying mount and took just enough altitude to stay above the fray.

At about 90 seconds into it, I started taking damage so moved to the northern edge of the camp, landed, killed 2 attackers, then feigned death to lose aggro. Once I was alone, I camoflagued and waited out the timer. Quest completed. If you can't win by force, use Guile! Comment by wowilovehead - stay mounted, swoop down, grab quest, fly up - fly to northern area up top in the grass and land - they will spawn one at a time slowly after about half way thru.

Its best to just stay on the edge and slowly work thru them. Comment by How I did it! Take the quest from the questgiver, while u are mounted. Do this while there are no hordes near to attack you.

Then go up, fast. A bit higher than the nearest tree. About half way of the 2 trees pointing north of you. If you go higher, your quest will fail.

Well, better to try high way up and retake the quest if it fail, than die:P, I did die a lot of times trying to fight those guys. Then try lower next time. The hordes shoot very high in the air. Comment by charue I was mounted when I took the quest. I flew immediately to the northern reaches on the grassy areas of the hills. I don't think it matters that I was in a northern area so much as I was in a remote area where I did not have two or more mobs on me at once.

I did this quest as a mage. After fighting as long as I could, I became invisivible and moved to another remote area to avoid my last attacker who would have killed me again. I used mirror image to good effect. Disguising myself as an herb failed immediately when the next mob spawned. I spent a lot of gold and died many times completing the quest.

Had no trouble flying to the dig site on the gryphon. Comment by Jennabean After dying approximately 7 times and incurring a 95g repair bill; I flew in, grabbed the quest, then flew straight up til I was well above the trees, making sure that the timer was still going. Waited out the 3 minutes then flew in and the quest completed. Turned in, grabbed the next one and got the heck out of dodge! Comment by Kaelene The best idea I saw, worked for me fighting alone dk.

Clear the road up to the questgiver, then take the quest and move back down a ways to the outside edge. You should see an occasional troll come down the hill and run into the fight. If he doesn't attack you and goes into the fray, you're at the right spot. An occasional troll will come up the road from behind shoots a single arrow first , but kill it and you should even have enough time to eat or heal before the next one trots up from downhill. I probably could have done it without healing and I'm dps geared.

I made the whole 3 minutes with ease. Comment by One thing for sure, this quest is phased, so if you don't have a group to help you with it, forget trying to do it.

Comment by hineloa Tried flying atop the trees with my destro warlock but it didn't work and I died twice. On a PvP server, it is an adventurous and challenging zone, and I recommend starting it a little higher than normal. I wouldn't come here until at least But below lvl 30, you have a low chance of survival especially the Alliance.

When in Stranglethorn Vale, just follow the road to Booty Bay. When you see a small island with a huge goblin on it, swim east.

Travel there and take the boat to Booty Bay. When you arrive at the camp, you can: 1 go west to the sea and swim south along the coast lvl , and for Tauren ; 2 follow the road through Stranglethorn Vale until you reach Booty Bay. Comment by There is a serious problem in the Blackwing Lair server. The Horde overwelm the Alliance. I'm a lvl 32 NE Hunter and I never see any horde below lvl 40 without at least 2 lvl 70 escorts.

This isn't just me complaining this is a serious issue. And this is just one of the areas that has this problem way too often. Is there anyone here that rolls on Blackwing Lair? Comment by For some reason this zone gives me an urge to start singing "Lean on Me" in the cheesiest Jamacan accesent. Comment by There's a forge as well as a cooking fire Kinda nice if you are mining in the area. Comment by Herbalists, after visiting this zone you'll never want for Fadeleaf or Goldthorn again.

Bring a buddy: the chain is so long, you may have trouble finding people who are on the same quest as you. Keep an eye out for the common drops from the "Green Hills of Stranglethorn" report papers. I've even sold a couple for 25s. Comment by The boat in Booty Bay travels to Ratchet. Comment by The Maiden's Fancy, the boat that runs between Booty Bay and Ratchet, takes 4 minutes 45 seconds to make a full round trip.

It stops for exactly 1 minute at each port, and from the time it leaves takes about 1 minute 22 seconds to reach the other port. This means if you just miss the ship as it leaves and want to get on, you'll have to wait 3 minutes 45 seconds to get on and another minute for it to get going. If you run up to the dock and you don't see the ship, you'll have to wait an average of 1 minute 30 seconds. I believe but have not confirmed that the other ships us the same schedule. Comment by As of patch 2.

A long awaited FP on PvP servers ;. Comment by i do just wonder, but how much do i need in fishing to fich here? Booty bay is a neutral town the 67 guards are no joke they hit HARD but some 70s sit there camp then jump in the water and sometimes get away from the guards this is a real pain because they keep ganking and ganking also try to stay away from stv on sunday cuz thats when most of the 70s come out for the fishing tournament for the twink hat.

GL and happy leveling i hope this helped alot. Comment by This has got to be one of the worst places in the game - so much ganking! But otherwise, its a great place to level in because there are so many quests and some you can do at the same time so you get lots of xp in a small amount of time.

Atleast you can't attack eachother in BB Booty Bay - well you can, but you get killed by the guards so probably not worth it unless you are like level 70 and prepared to take the guards on. It would be mayhem if you could! I also agree with Cure - you need to pay the basilisks a visit - they are around the back of the arena just follow the path past the arena and you should find them if I remember correctly. If you're thinking of going to Gurubashi Arena I think you should only go if you think you really can get the chest, or if you have a level 70 with you or maybe a few if you wanted.

I have usually experienced level 70's guarding the chest for twinks. Finally, if you are in Booty Bay on a Sunday and you have a decent fishing skill it may be worth participating in the fishing challenge. Warning - lots of level 70's will probably be participating too so keep your eyes peeled for gankers! Just one note on the subject of the fishing competiton: There aren't seperate one's for horde and alliance, there is just one cup for both factions to fight for though each time I've been on Horde have won.

I'm running out of things to mention now, so good luck questing or grinding or whatever your doing, and happy gaming! Comment by littlidabbi Welcome to the jungle. Comment by Koblec Great place to level.

You can easily make enough money for your mount by 40 from grinding on the Elder Stranglethorn Tigers. Comment by Its a very nice place. Its like an island. This is also very good if you want to buy a mount becuase the beasts that you kill have items which worth a lot. Comment by Clopert The horde have a slight advantage here, having a horde town in the zone with a zepplin to Undercity. Alliance will have to go through Ratchet and catch a boat, or walk from Duskwood or Westfall.

This should help Alliance travel the zone a little easier. If you are on a PvP server, I would recommend not leveling here, or playing mainly during offpeak hours for your server. If you must play during a busy time, be sure to keep alert and avoid traveling in the middle of the road if you don't want to get ganked by high-levels.

Also, be wary of 70s in Booty Bay, quite often they will camp outside the entrance, or follow you around until you get somewhere where they can 1shot you and escape. If you are being followed by a Rogue, try to lose them. From experience, they seem to love stalking you then killing you then vanishing. Furthermore, stay hidden on the boat if traveling to ratchet. If someone kills you on the boat, don't release your spirit.

Once you get to the spot where you switch continents, you will automatically resurrect. Comment by Dimish The greatest and the most annoying ganking zone in the whole Game.

Heres some tips and such. They are all easy, and with some help from our good friend Wowhead, they can be completed fast - You CAN complete the quests like this: Do one quest, turn it in, do another quest, turn it in and so on, but heres the one i like the most cause you get a gigantic exp rush at the end :D. As you have your quest log full of quest, write the one on the top to Wowhead.

Go complete it. After that, write the name of the quest below it to wowhead for tips and such. Dont turn the quests in yet. When you are done with all of your quests, go turn them in. Like this you save time and its fun to see your exp bar jump from the middle to the next level ;D Have fun, and try to avoid the gankers Most of the time, if you dont harm them, they dont harm you.

Comment by This is a good area for lvl to 40's, but i have a question for all you 70 horde who gank lvl 30's, why? I mean, do you feel pleasure in making ppl feel bad and really sad? Do you feel good about killing ppl for no honor or any purpose whatso ever?

It feels sad and cruel. Comment by Well then have fun ruining ppls lives, i'm not ordering you ppl do good things i'm just making suggestions, but do what you want. Comment by One of the most beatifull zones in eastern kingdoms. Pity that it takes so short time to level from 30 to Comment by tundra Gank lethorn Vale. Comment by Nypheria This area is called "Gankathorn" for a reason PVP area Expect to be camped, killed, destroyed, and mutilated over and over again.

Its a lovely area - too bad its the gateway for raid groups to march into SW. Comment by Bsmx93 If you are a low level seeking to get to Booty Bay quick, the best thing to do is go about half way through Stranglethorn Vale going to Booty Bay , a little past the Horde base camp, and then kill yourself, if you've went far enough, it should pop you out right beside the Booty Bay entrance, then just resurrect at the spirit healer.

This should save you the walking time of Half of Stranglethorn Vale. Or , from Westfall , you can swim through the land on the west of the map and will end up in STV also. This place is a jungle and in my opinion it is the most beautiful and elegant place in the game. Be Careful , as lots of level 70 people go there so do not put pvp on unless needed. It takes forever to explore the whole place as there is around 11 ruins and other seperate places.

It takes 15mins to walk from one side to the other. Comment by around lvl 30 i poked my warlock's nose in here for the chance to do some mining. Comment by I agree this zone has a lot of PvP for anyone on a pvp server the alliance My main's a horde are frequently raiding the horde base camps. Comment by don't forget to bring your main when questing in stv If you are a stealther, and go in a party of players, you can go guerilla warfare :D Also, for LWers this place is awesome, you will end with your bags completely full of all types of leathers and hides.

You have been warned. Comment by kor86 In the Jungle the mighty Jungle the lion sleeps tonite.. Comment by Axura i think is a perfect land for lvl and there are a lot of quests with nice items to equip Comment by Go out and gank and have fun, theres a few places leveling up I look forward to Hillsbrad pvp STV pvp if you are getting killed a lot maybe you should just get better and not suck so much. Comment by I have a lvl 30 Paladin , and I really cant find a place to lvl up , do you think that I could do it here?

Ohhhhh and yes , I am not on a PvP server if that changes something. Comment by jisatsusha You can finally mount up in Booty Bay! View source. History Talk 0.
